Welcome
to Wartling Place
Standing on a hill, close to the Church, and overlooking the Pevensey Levels with far reaching views over the gardens and beyond to the beautiful Sussex Downs, stands a fine White Grade II listed Georgian Rectory built in 1728 with origins dating back to 1537.
In 1997 in need of loving care the house was purchased by Barry & Rowena Gittoes with a vision of creating a luxury Country House Hotel offering top quality bed and breakfast guest accommodation.
Carefully restored & beautifully refurbished, Wartling Place Country House Hotel opened in 1998, instantly earning Award winning recognition from the AA and Tourist Guides

Today it proudly boasts 5 Red Diamonds - the top accolade for Guest Accommodation that constantly provides outstanding levels of hospitality, service, food and comfort and is recognised as the AA’s Premier award each year for Quality.
